Students who take Algebra 1 in 7th grade can complete Calculus in the 11th grade and take an even more advanced math class, such as college-level Linear Algebra, in grade 12. On the other hand, students who want to jump off the Calculus track have other course options, such as Trigonometry or Statistics. WebLinear algebra involves a lot of sitting and thinking, which is different than plugging through calculations like you do in earlier math. Usually, calculus comes before linear algebra in the curriculum but there's no good reason. In my opinion, lin alg should come first - calculus is so much easier after you know it.
