It isn’t a single-action version of the Shield by any means. The magazines do not interchange with the Shield. Perhaps, it would have been smart to make the magazines Shield types, but that may have compromised the compact size of the CSX pistol.

It’s low bore axis paired with it’s lava rock texturing makes for a very stable and very controllable shooter. Felt recoil felt to be less than a Sig P320 Compact and on par with a Glock 19. Our eldest cousin, a 45 ACP fanatic, has switched to 9mm because of the lessened recoil. In his hands, the 9mm 1911, shoots like a laser.
